미국의 주별 GDP 가 다른 나라들 GDP 로 환산하면 어디쯤 되는지 보여주는 지도입니다. 우리나라 블로그에도 많이 떠돌아다니는 지도죠.

 

스켑렙에도 예전에도 한번 소개가 된 적이 있었던 것으로 기억하는데 이 지도 원 출처를 찾았어요. 바로 여기( 131 - US States Renamed For Countries With Similar GDPs  )입니다. 2007년 기준이라네요.

 

히야, 캘리포니아 주 하나가 선진국인 프랑스의 경제력과 맞먹는다는니 정말 대단하지 않나요? 참고로, 캘리포니아 인구는 프랑스의 절반 수준예요. 도대체 저 동네는 1인당 생산성이 얼마나 된다는 얘기?

 

그래도 우리나라는 미국에서 GDP 로는 세번째 부자 주인 플로리다 수준은 되네요. 더구나 콕 찍어서 우리나라를 'Asian tiger'라 불러주니 고맙다는. . . ^^;;;

 

저 지도를 보니 왜 미국 야구 시리즈를 '월드 시리즈'라고 하는지 조금 이해도 가긴 합니다.
